We absolutely love these primitive pieces that wink at luxury culture by Paul de Lucena.
Paul started making these bags as a social critique while living in Oaxaca, Mexico and studying ceramics. "I was picturing a post-apocalyptic world where we no longer had nice things and reflecting on the way “folk art” co-opts mainstream imagery. My initial pieces used ancient techniques - burnished with quartz stones and finished with bees wax - but I’ve started to play with glazes and leather."
